There are a lot of planning applications still being passed for big developments with poor active travel infrastructure, and no safe active travel links to local amenities. This is a massive missed opportunity because it leads to even more vehicles on our roads, giving us more danger, more sedentary lifestyles with bad health consequences, higher air pollution, more wear and tear on the road surfaces, and more traffic congestion.
